मेरो ३० रुपैयाँ ‘My 30 Rupees’ is a campaign initiated to create an opportunity to the privileged children of private schools who definitely have the heart and ability to contribute to the society… Mother Teresa once said, “If you cannot feed a hundred, then just feed one.” This campaign encourages the children to contribute just Re. 1 a day from their heart by which in 30 days will feed a child for a day. It is a spark of initiation to create the habit of giving to the society to not just create change but be the change. There’s more behind the मेरो ३० रुपैयाँ ‘My 30 Rupees’ than just charity. It rewards the kind souls who contribute continuously for a year by a certificate of appreciation which shows that charity can be done even if you are too busy in your life with your daily chores…
“For it is in giving that we receive.” ―St. Francis of Assisi
The students of Galaxy Public School were really happy and excited to receive their certificates today for those who participated in our campaign, ‘Mero 30 Rupaiya’, which started sometime in November last year. This campaign aims to collect one rupee a day from those who wish to contribute in order to support the ‘Mid-Day Meal’ Program conducted by Food For Life Nepal to the under-privileged children of government schools.
The certificate distribution started around mid-day until 2:00 PM for about 350 students who were dedicated to make a change in the society. We also talked to some of the students participating in the campaign and one of them said, “We really want to help the poor and needy and Food For Life Nepal has given this opportunity to serve. Thank You Food For Life Nepal.” We believe that in order to eliminate hunger and reduce malnutrition we need support from the young generation to shape the future of the country.
We would like to thank Surina Gurung, the Vice-Principal of Galaxy Public School for giving us the opportunity to introduce Food For Life Nepal (FFLN) to the students of this school.
And again, Thank You Galaxy Public School for setting an example in the community!
